The Advanced blended learning on development cooperation is the first learning path created by punto.sud Academy to get all the necessary skills to properly work and be specialized on the EU on development cooperation projects. A blended learning, with innovative methodologies, interactive sessions and the possibility to follow part of the course on-line are the characteristics of this learning path.
You can get the certificate through a gradual and complete learning path by participating to two advanced courses and one specialised course.
Description of courses
3-lesson webinar “Preparing successful proposals on EU development cooperation” (advanced course)
Get an in-depth overview of the application formats to be used in response to EU (DG EuropeAid and DG NEAR) calls for proposals (i.e. concept note, full application, logical framework and budget). Get also some tips on how to collect and provide the application requested information, also by using appropriate methodologies, like to Theory of Change that will also help in the preparation of the logframe. Finally, get skills in preparing realistic budgets, by knowing the eligibility principles and the simplified costs options proposed by the EU. At the end of this 3-lesson webinar, you will be equipped with knowledge and skills to apply in EU calls for proposals and to prepare good project proposals. Each lesson lasts 1:30 hours and is delivered on-line.
2-day classroom training “Become a master of EU-funded project finances on EU development cooperation” (advanced course)
Make the most from the practical overview of all aspects related to financial management of EU funded grants, starting from the preparation of a proper and realistic budget, to the procedures for modifying it in case of changed circumstances, to the procurement of supplies, services and works, to financial reporting, expenditure verification and audit. The course will focus on DG DEVCO and DG NEAR procedures related to grants. At the end of this course you will improve your capacity in drafting realistic budgets, use proper tools for monitoring project expenditure and you will be ready for expenditure verification and audit.
1-lesson webinar “How to deal with simplified cost options” (specialised course)
When preparing your budget for a DG DEVCO/DG NEAR Grant, you can propose simplified cost options for one or more budget headings. Get in-depth information on how this system works, on its limits and benefits to be ready to use them when preparing the next budget. At the end of this webinar, you will know how to treat simplified cost options in terms of supporting documents and during expenditure verifications and audits. The webinar lasts 1:30 hours and is delivered on-line.
